Pictured above are 5 Yr 13 pupils who participated in the Sentinus Team R&D project, previously known as the Engineering Education Scheme. These pupils worked tirelessly with the WELB and their Energy engineer, Mr John Coney since September 2009 to complete an energy audit for our school building. This involved analysing invoices for electricity, oil and water and testing the building for areas where we are wasteful of energy. The pupils received certificates at the formal presentation day in Queens University Belfast on 21st April 2010 where they presented their findings to a range of energy experts and received excellent feedback on their hard work. They were also awarded their CREST Gold award in recognition of their research and development experience whilst working with an engineer from industry! Congratulations to these pupils from the Technology department on this excellent achievement!!!
